// HPPODCRAFT is holding another “ransom” (donation drive) for readings of The Hound and The Temple. The latter is especially exciting not only for being a favorite of mine, but for also being read by the ever wonderful Andrew Leman. Please donate so we can have these out asap. Thanks!
I’m also relieved to hear that HPPODCRAFT will continue its efforts even after they’ve come across Lovecraft’s last story. Perhaps we’ll start dwelling into influenced material or possibly the impact Lovecraft has had overall. Certainly there has been a resurgence of interest in the material. I’m not sure what direction they’ll go, but either way I’ll be happy to listen.
Related to such I also recommend the episode dedicated to The Temple. The looming suspense that is carried out throughout the tale is absolutely terrifying and fascinating all at once. The protagonist is one I wanted to see suffer due to his monstrous nature and yet feared his situation all the same. I’m truly surprised it hasn’t been re-imagined into a movie or animated adaption.

Also, awesome cover art for The Shadow Out of Time from 1936, by Howard Brown.
